Bhutan is a paradise for those interested in Buddhist culture. Its rugged landscape and natural beauty is irresistible to trekkers, mountaineers and adventurous travelers.

BT4 GRAND BHUTAN (11 Nights / 12 Days)

Day 01

Arrival in PARO
Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure or to visit the local market. Overnight at Paro.
 

Day 02

PARO
Full day sight seeing tour of Paro.
 

Day 03

AT PARO WITH EXCURSION TO TAKTSANG
Full day excursion to Taktsang, also known as the “Tiger’s Nest”, situated on the edge of a sheer precipice at 3000 feet above the valley. The trip involves a short drive to Satsam Chorten and further three hours of trek to Taktsang Monastery. Then hike back to the pick up point at Satsam Chorten and drive back to Paro. Overnight at Paro.
 

Day 04

PARO – THIMPU (2hours)
Morning drive to Thimpu. Visit Simtokha Dzong situated on a ridge 5 miles from Thimpu. Also visit Memorial Chorten, Handicraft Emporium and Tashichho Dzong.
 

Day 05

THIMPU – PUNAKHA (2 hours)
Morning drive to Wangdi which takes about two and half hour. Afternoon visit to Punakha Dzong. Overnight at Zangto Pelri Hotel.
 

Day 06

PUNAKHA – TONGSA ( 4 hours)
Visit Wangdiphodrong Dzong in the morning and continue drive through Pelela pass to Tongsa. Overnight at Tongsa Tourist Lodge.
 

Day 07

TONGSA – JAKAR
In the morning, visit Tongsa Dzong, the largest fortress in
Bhutan. Drive to Chumi Valley and explore around a bit before driving on to Jakar. Overnight at guest house.
 

Day 08

JAKAR – BUMTHANG
Morning visit to Jakar Dzong, followed by a hike to Lama Gompa, a place built by the First King of Bhutan for his two monk sisters. In the afternoon, explore around
Bumthang Chhokhor Valley. Overnight at guest house.
 

Day 09

BUMTHANG – TONGSA
Visit Chume Tragar Naktsang and
Domkhar Tashichholing Palace before driving on to Tongsa. Afternoon visit to Ta Dzong and explore around Tongsa. Overnight at guest house.
 

Day 10

TONGSA – THIMPU
The drive back to Thimpu takes about 7 hours. In the afternoon, drive on to Thimpu passing through Docula pass at about 10,000 feet. Overnight at hotel.
 

Day 11

THIMPU – PARO
Free morning to explore around Thimpu. Drive back to Paro in the afternoon.
OR
Start the drive for Puntsoling(7 hours) in the morning.
 

Day 12

Departure form Paro.
Drive to airport to connect with the onward flight.
